Hiya!
So, I thought that I would answer some questions about one of my favourite things to do: sewing!
I have been sewing for years and I enjoy it so much! I am writing this, not only to share with you my love of sewing, but also to inspire you.
Let's get on with the Q&A!

1. What gives you the most joy when you sew?
I love the pleasure of having and using the finished product. To know that you have made something yourself is really special.
2. What was the first thing you ever made?
I remember making a sack for Christmas when I was about seven. I cut out the material and sewed it all together myself. It was red and green and I had sewn on some snowy hills and a snowman. I mean, yes, it was terrible but you’ve got to start somewhere!
3. When did you first start getting into sewing?
I remember dressing my dolls up in clothing that my great grandma had knitted and I loved them. I wanted to be able to do that! I went to sewing club in primary school at the age of 10(?) and got my first sewing machine a couple years ago.
4. Where do you get inspiration from?
I have quite a few books that have some great ideas in. I also like to watch 'The Great British Sewing Bee' which I find interesting.

5. Where do you but your fabrics from?
My favourite place to my fabrics and sewing equipment from is C&H Fabrics. They have a huge amount of choice, the fabrics are good quality and they have some lovely designs. However if you want some at a cheaper price then The Works have some nice stuff too. I would also recommend using your old clothes to make new things.
6. What are you most proud of making?
Probably my Union Jack cushion; I put a lot of time and effort into that. Another thing that I’m quite proud of are my curtains which I’m half way through making although I’m having a lot of help with those!

7. What sewing machine do you use?
Give me a moment whilst I go and check! The sewing machine that I use is a Husqvarna Viking E10 and I think it's really good. I'm not an expert in sewing machines and which ones are the best value, so if you want to buy a sewing machine I recommend that you don't ask me!

8. Any recommendations of things to make as a beginner?
Start off with something small and then build up towards bigger projects. I would recommend a coin purse or some felt bunting. Enjoy!
9. Have you ever attempted to make clothing?
Yes I have, I made a turquoise, lace top but I never got round to finishing it!
10. Do you have a favourite designer?
I love Cath Kidston designs and prints, they're adorable!
I really hope that this has inspired you. Happy sewing!
See you soon,
Isabelle xx
